About the role:
POLI.design is looking for a motivated Service Design Intern to join its Business Development Unit for a 4-month internship. The role offers hands-on experience in applying service design tools and methods to support internal innovation, strategic research, and business development initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity for a student from the Master in Service Design program to contribute to real-world projects, support meetings with high-profile partners, and interact with key stakeholders across the global design and education landscape.
You’ll be actively involved in projects that engage leading companies, brands, universities, and institutions from Italy and around the world.
Key Activities
• Support the mapping and optimization of internal services and processes, through tools such as customer journeys, personas, and service blueprints.
• Assist in conducting trend research and benchmarking, particularly around the future of higher education in the next 10–20 years.
• Assist in the preparation and follow-up of national and international client meetings, collaborating directly with the Business Development team.
• Contribute to the planning and facilitation of co-design workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Help synthesize research into strategic insights and visualize service concepts through infographics, diagrams, and presentations.
• Help perform marketing analysis and gather intelligence on competitive positioning and innovation strategies in design-related sectors.
• Participate in the creation of project briefs, value propositions, and strategic narratives for institutional proposals.
Requisiti:
Who You Are
• A student currently enrolled in the Master in Service Design at POLI.design.
• Passionate about service innovation, user-centered design, and systems thinking.
• Confident in using service design tools and capable of translating insights into structured frameworks.
• Proficient in visual communication tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Miro, Figma, Adobe Suite).
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
• Fluent in both Italian and English (spoken and written)—required for internal collaboration and external communications.
