Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position:
Event Services is the functional area, within the Organizing for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games (Olympics and Paralympics), that is in charge to plan, design and provide a safe and welcoming visit to all ticketed events at the official competition venues and other services to accredited stakeholders.
The EVS PLANNING SPECIALIST is a confident leader who will assist in the venue planning and operations for a specific Games Time venue. The EVS PLANNING SPECIALIST will help to manage and lead a volunteer and paid staff workforce through schedule planning and training activities. The EVS PLANNING SPECIALIST will assume the Venue Planner role when the Venue Planner is not present on venue.
This role is integral to guarantee the smooth delivery of the operational plan and will monitor and report on the day-to-day activities with a focus on the EVS PLANNING SPECIALIST volunteer workforce. The EVS PLANNING SPECIALIST is a key member of the Event Services area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the implementation of venue Event Services operations plans for a specific venue;
- Complete and track progress of delegated Master Schedule items;
- Monitor progress of venue planning with a focus on risks associated to volunteers and scheduling;
- Assist with the management the Event Services venue operating plans for consistency across the Games venues;
- Train, coach, and mentor Event Services paid staff and volunteers in the specific duties of their jobs;
- Learn and deliver the services levels, policies, and procedures; identify gaps, overlaps and synergies;
- Deliver staffing plans, strategies, and deployments across a specific venue;
- Work closely with the Event Venue Team Functional Areas key planners to ensure optimal Games Time operations;
- Apply the guidelines and legislation pertinent to spectator management activities at games venues;
- Represent Event Services at Venue Event Team meetings.
Requirements:
- University degree;
- Ability to manage numerous tasks with a high level of detail at the same time;
- Ability to train and lead a team of volunteers;
- Ability to work under pressure and under tight timelines;
- Specific knowledge of staffing and training principles and operations;
- Specific knowledge of front of house operations;
- English (full work proficiency);
