Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).

Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.


Position:

·Liaise with PEM and VOL to ensure the supply, allocation and rostering of suitable volunteers

·Coordinate inbound & outbound communications with the Event Services volunteer workforce

·Monitor phone calls & emails from volunteers and answer appropriately or redirect as required

·Support with training EVS Team Members on Scheduling System

·Assist with scheduling volunteers and paid staff for training and Games time work

·Maintain Volunteer records and allocations

·Compile staffing reports including recruitment, attendance and deployment updates

·Manage and resolve volunteer performance issues in line with Volunteer Management guidelines

·Apply the guidelines and legislation pertinent to volunteer management activities at Games venues.

·Assist with training for volunteers

·Ensure all staff and volunteers are accredited to the relevant venues

·The Workforce Coordinator will be supported in the issues escalation process by the Staffing Manager and Event Services Central Team.

·Needs a strong attention to detail and high standards for quality output.

·Ability to collaborate effectively with other Functional Areas to ensure delivery of a suitable workforce.

·Considers impact of decisions on Games Time workforce

·Generates ideas to improve processes and create efficiencies.

·Professional manner when dealing with paid staff and volunteers

Able to adapt style of communication and approach

·Communicates clearly and concisely

·Implement Human Resource processes, policies and procedures

At Games Time, there is the possibility of long hours of work both indoors and outdoors at Mountain Venues.

·Microsoft Suite

Able to learn internal People Management System and Scheduling System
